Fees and Insurance Information

My Fees

My fee is 180.00 per session. It is 200.00 for family sessions. It is considered a family session if a family member attends a therapy session with you while you are in individual therapy.

I keep my caseload small so I can provide you with the highest quality of care.

I have a very limited number of time slots available for clients who need a reduced fee. We can talk about if I have any time slots available for a reduced fee at your consultation.

Insurance Information

I do not take Medicaid and I am not a Medicare provider. I am an out-of-network provider for all other insurance. This means that you pay me after your session and you will get reimbursed from your insurance company.

To make things easier for you, I can file your insurance claim for you (in most cases). If you choose for me to do this, I will need your insurance information and I will file a claim for you. Most insurance companies pay out-of-network benefits; however, reimbursement is often at a slightly lower rate. The good news is many of my clients have found they have great out-of-network benefits!

To see what your benefits are, call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask them what your out-of-network benefits are for mental health or behavioral therapy. You may find that your sessions with me are fully or partially reimbursable. Always ask your insurance company directly about each type of service you hope to have covered. I will help you if you have any questions about this.

Many of my clients use a Health Savings Account (HSA), a Flexible Spending Account (FSA), or a Health Reimbursement Account (HRG) to pay for mental health services. They submit a form and receive reimbursement from their HSA, FSA, HRG directly. You will need to check and see exactly how this works at your company.

We take client privacy very seriously. By utilizing an FSA, HSA or HRA card, you can conveniently cover session costs without involving insurance billing, preventing the disclosure of a diagnosis or private health information.

Opting for private pay counseling offers several advantages, including the ability for clients and therapists to determine the frequency and type of counseling without the need for a mental health diagnosis to be recorded in permanent health records. This is crucial, as such diagnoses can impact one's ability to obtain certain insurance or employment opportunities.
