The Triad is Greensboro, High Point, & Winston-Salem, NC

Greensboro, High Point, and Winston-Salem are known for their tight-knit communities, strong values, and a deep sense of tradition—which can be both comforting and overwhelming for moms. From navigating school expectations to managing the demands of busy family life, it’s easy to feel like you’re constantly playing catch-up. And while the Triad offers a wonderful backdrop for raising children, it can also be a lonely place when you’re struggling—especially when it seems like everyone else is holding it together with ease.

Motherhood can be overwhelming, lonely, and downright exhausting. It doesn’t have to be.

Do  You Struggle With?

• Feeling anxious or out of control, even on the “good” days

• Carrying guilt for things you know aren’t your fault

• Snapping at your kids or partner and then feeling awful about it

• Wondering who you even are outside of being a mom

• Worrying you’re not doing enough, no matter how hard you try

• Feeling like no one really sees what you’re going through

You deserve support that actually makes life feel lighter.

I’m Margot—and I help overwhelmed moms find their way back to themselves.

If you’re trying to hold it all together while feeling like you’re falling apart inside, you’re not alone. Whether you’re raising little ones, guiding teens, or navigating life with adult children, the weight of motherhood can feel relentless. The guilt, the pressure, the loss of self—it’s real. And I get it, because I’ve lived parts of it too.

With over 25 years of experience, a PhD in psychology, and certification in perinatal mental health, I’ve helped hundreds of women move from survival mode to feeling grounded, connected, and more like themselves again. Together, we can clear the noise and make space for you to breathe, grow, and heal.

You deserve to feel calm, confident, and back in charge of your life.

Why Do Online Therapy?

Online therapy gives you the freedom to see a therapist who SPECIALIZES in exactly what YOU NEED  from ANYWHERE you have enough privacy.  Imagine being able to do counseling from your parked car, your office, or the privacy and convenience of your own home.

Online therapy allows you to choose from a greater variety of professionals. You can select a Psychologist who sees people just like you every day rather than a therapist who is trying to keep up with treating so many different issues in so many different people.  As a result, you can feel more confident they are really good at what they do.

RESEARCH HAS SHOWN ONLINE THERAPY TO BE JUST AS EFFECTIVE AS IN PERSON THERAPY

Why Do So Many Choose Online Therapy Over In-Person Sessions?

Because it’s easier, more flexible, and fits into real life without the extra stress.

No traffic. No getting lost. No circling for a parking spot. Just open your laptop or phone and log in—from home, your office, or even your parked car.

As long as you live in North Carolina or a PsyPact participating state, you can work with a specialized therapist without ever leaving your comfort zone. If your home isn’t private enough, therapy can still happen wherever you can find a quiet space.

It also saves time. No commute means more room in your schedule for the things that matter. You don’t even have to leave work—just close your door, click the link, and start your session.

Privacy is protected with HIPAA-compliant video calls and secure reminders sent by email or text. And the best part? You can show up exactly as you are—no need to dress up or prepare.

Online therapy makes getting help easier, faster, and more accessible—without sacrificing connection or quality.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I Have Never Been To Therapy Before? What Should I Expect?

That’s completely okay! Many of my clients are new to therapy, and I make the process easy, and comfortable. We’ll start at your pace, and I’ll guide you through every step so you feel supported, not overwhelmed.

Therapy with me is a safe, pressure-free space. We’ll start by discussing what’s on your mind, what’s been weighing you down, and what you hope to get out of therapy. My goal is to help you feel comfortable and supported from day one, no matter where you’re starting from.

Do I need In-Person sessions for therapy to work? What If I don't have time for therapy?

No! Online therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy—and often even more convenient. You’ll get the same personalized support, just from the comfort of your own home, without the stress of commuting or arranging childcare.

I know life is busy, but therapy actually gives you back time by helping you manage stress more effectively. When you feel less overwhelmed, parenting and daily life feel easier. Plus, my online sessions make it easy to fit therapy into your schedule.

What if I can’t afford therapy, or my insurance doesn’t cover it?

While I’m out of network, many insurance plans offer reimbursement for OON therapy.  You may have an HSA or FSA that will also help cover the cost.  I can file insurance for you, and my specialized approach often leads to faster, longer-lasting progress—making it a valuable investment in your well-being.  Learn more on my Fees and Insurance Page.

What if I Have Tried Therapy Before and It Didn't Help?

What if I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t help?

Not all therapy is the same. If past experiences didn’t feel helpful, they may not have been the right approach or fit. I will want to know about your past therapy experiences so I can ensure that your therapy is different this time and effective.
